Dress Code

Dress codes are put in place to maintain order and safety in our classes. Please adhere to posted dress codes each time you attend class.


  • Ballet 1:  light blue leotard, tights & ballet shoes to match dancer's skin tone
  • Ballet 2: lavender leotard, tights & ballet shoes to match dancer's skin tone
  • Ballet 3: burgundy leotard, 1-inch white waist elastic, tights & ballet shoes to match dancer's skin tone
  • Pre-Ballet: pastel pink leotard, pink tights, pink ballet shoes, no skirts 
  • Pre-Pointe/Pointe: previous class attire, ballet shoes with ribbons or pointe shoes
  • Beginning Tap: previous class attire, tan oxford-style tap shoes
  • Lyrical/Contemporary: leotard, nude or pink tights, foot paws 
  • Character Dance: Class attire plus a black, opaque, knee-length skirt & black 1.5“ character shoes
  • Jazz: Leotard, flesh tone tights, black Jazz pants/leggings or black Jazz shorts. Black slip on Jazz shoes.
  • Hip Hop: tank tops or tees, black leggings or joggers, black low top dance sneakers 
  • Boys: Plain white shirt, black dance pants or black knee-length shorts, black ballet shoes
  • Adult ballet: no dress code, ballet shoes recommended
  • ALL DANCE CLASSES: Both tights and leotards have cotton-lined panels and act as underwear for the dancer (think swimsuit). If a sports bra must be worn, it should match the leotard color and not be seen. Also, for safety reasons, no jewelry is to be worn in dance classes and hair is to be secured away from the face and neck. No skirts or shorts. 
  • Yoga: no dress code, bring a yoga mat
